David Reyna

Project Assistant for Policy Implementation

David Reyna, BA, studied at Texas State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in writing. During his time at Texas State University, he helped develop research proposals, codebooks, and surveys and further engaged in research and intervention with the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences. In addition, he completed an internship with Strengthening Relationships/Strengthening Families (SRSF), wherein he worked with parenting adolescents, collected data, and recruited participants, producing essential core concepts for the organization’s research goals. This internship yielded the opportunity to collaborate with various Central Texas high schools to create an effective and meaningful relationship with teens and families.

In his role at the Meadows Institute, David assists the Policy Implementation Team including efforts related to achieving the goals of the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium, collaborative care-related initiatives, and community mental health needs assessments.

David is originally from Monterrey, Mexico. He’s lived most of his life in Elgin (the sausage capital of Texas!) and now resides in San Marcos, where he will continue his studies at Texas State University. David’s goal is to get a Masters in Professional Counseling with a specialty in clinical mental health and eventually become a Clinical Psychologist.
