Elizabeth has a background in public affairs and communications, with over five years of experience in and around Texas state government, ranging from private sector advocacy to campaign strategy.

Elizabeth has managed policy research and client communications for Austin-based legislative consulting firm Focused Advocacy, where she developed a keen interest in health policy through implementing an external COVID-19 communications plan throughout the pandemic.  She served as a Legislative Aide for Texas House of Representatives member Travis Clardy and amassed campaign and social media experience through her role as a digital campaign assistant with Greg Abbott’s gubernatorial campaign in 2017.

In her role at the Meadows Institute, she is responsible for the Institute’s social media strategy and content, and serves as a contributing content writer for the Institute’s communications channels.

Elizabeth received bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Corporate Communications from the University of Texas at Austin.
