Jayla Wilhelm
Jayla Wilhelm joined the Meadows Institute with nine years of experience representing the Texas Panhandle in political and philanthropic efforts.
Prior to joining the Institute, Jayla oversaw corporate and foundation relations for her alma mater and the West Texas A&M University Foundation in the largest philanthropic campaign in the history of the Texas Panhandle. During that time, she helped to raise more than $150 million towards the campaign. Jayla began her career working in Washington, D.C. for former Congressman Mac Thornberry (TX-13) in the U.S. House of Representatives during his term as Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. Her experience in legislation, grants, and fundraising uniquely prepares her for her position at the Meadows Institute.
In her role at the Meadows Institute, Jayla is responsible for the direction, coordination, and implementation of projects that support Meadows Institute – Panhandle’s regional behavioral health improvement efforts in partnership with regional behavioral health partner organizations and stakeholders.
Jayla received her Bachelors in Public Service and Administration from West Texas A&M University. She is a proud resident of the Texas Panhandle and lives in Amarillo with her husband and their three boys.
