Lucy Blevins

Prior to joining the Meadows Institute, Lucy worked at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) supporting program areas and executive leadership in stakeholder engagement, legislative analysis, and initiatives related to social determinants of health. Throughout her time at HHSC, Lucy had the opportunity to engage with women’s health issues such as perinatal depression through her work on the postpartum depression strategic plan. Lucy also supported program areas during the public health emergency in securing Texas Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funding and tracking implemented flexibilities that allowed clients to continue to receive services.

In her role at the Meadows Institute, Lucy supports implementation efforts in the primary care setting related to Behavioral Health Integration and Collaborative Care through the Lone Star Depression Challenge, Cloudbreak, and other related initiatives. Lucy received her Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) accreditation. She holds master’s degrees in public affairs and social work from the University of Texas at Austin and received her bachelor’s degree in administrative and policy social work from Rutgers University.

Outside of work, Lucy is an avid reader, enjoys being outdoors, and is passionate about engaging in local community advocacy.
