Rachael has 10 years of experience working as a mental health clinician in a variety of settings. She has a background in mental health counseling and neuropsychology where she has assessed and treated multiple populations including adults and children with chronic physical and mental health conditions. Rachael joins the Institute from Dell Children’s Medical Center where she practiced as a Licensed Psychological Associate in a pediatric neuropsychology outpatient clinic and helped develop programs that integrated psychological care in medical settings to allow for more integrative and comprehensive care for the children and their families. She also has extensive experience in clinical research, including examining the association of psychological processes and healthcare outcomes to help develop effective mental health interventions. Through her experiences, she has developed a passion for improving healthcare quality and access, particularly for mental health.
Rachael earned her public health certificate from The University of Texas Health Science Center, her master’s degree in mental health counseling from Boston College, and her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
