Tempa Sherrill

Senior Director for Strategy and Innovation

Tempa comes to the Meadows Institute from One Tribe Foundation (22Kill) where she served as their Chief Clinical Officer and provided oversight of all behavioral health programs and services. Prior to that, she founded Stay The Course Veteran Services which provides evidence-based therapies to veterans, first responders, frontline medical workers, and families. Her previous experience also includes program development for veterans and their families at Recovery Resource Council and 18 years in secondary education before joining the behavioral health field. Through her work, she has focused on creating capacity in community based and peer response services to police and veteran communities. In addition to her extensive background within these communities, she brings experience in EMS crisis response as a former paramedic. We look forward to her contribution to our innovative work around crisis response and innovative practices for first responders and military/veteran populations.

Tempa is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University and a Master of Education Administration degree from Texas Wesleyan University.
