Will Seilheimer

Senior Director of Government Affairs

Will was most recently the senior health and human services budget analyst for the Texas House of Representatives Appropriations Committee, leading development of an over $80 Billion budget, from drafting the introduced bill through final passage. Will has also served as an advisor to the Department of Family and Protective Services CFO, a senior budget and policy advisor for the Speaker of the Texas House, and a budget analyst for natural resources, economic development, and regulatory agencies. Before returning to his native Texas, Will was a management consultant specializing in acquisition planning, development, management, and oversight and information technology governance in Washington, DC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern University and a Master of Public Policy degree from Duke University.

In his role at the Meadows Institute, Will manages the relationships between Institute leadership staff and policymakers to ensure the successful advancement of mental health policy improvements. This includes guiding policy development and strategy, and advancing policy and appropriations initiatives through engagement with legislative members, staff, state agencies, stakeholders, and coalitions.
