Shelby Abeyta

Shelby has over 17 years of experience in communications, public relations and branding. In her previous role as Senior Communication Director for Skanska USA, she oversaw communications and public relations efforts for the company’s Central U.S. region, securing positive media coverage in top U.S. media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Modern Healthcare, Houston Chronicle and Dallas Morning News. She also launched the company’s Building What Matters campaign and created its national crisis communications program.

Shelby has also spent the last two decades volunteering for numerous non-profit organizations, including the Children’s Medical Center Foundation (Dallas), I Have A Dream Foundation (Dallas), Junior League of Nashville, and St. Luke’s Community House (Nashville), and serves on the Rotary Club of Dallas Board of Directors. In addition, Shelby is the co-creator of Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30, an annual fundraiser benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation that has raised over $1.2 million since its inception. Shelby is a graduate of Lipscomb University. She lives in Dallas with her husband, Eddie.
