2023 Summer Internship Program
The Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute is pleased to announce the call for applications for our ninth annual Summer Internship Program. The program aims to provide interns with experience in quality, nonpartisan, and objective policy research and development to improve mental health services in Texas.
This summer, internship opportunities are available in the following areas for qualified candidates:
- Child, Youth, and Family Mental Health Policy (Multiple positions available, including hybrid remote/in-person in El Paso)
- Criminal Justice Mental Health Policy (Multiple positions available, including hybrid remote/in-person in El Paso)
- Faith Based Mental Health (Hybrid remote/in-person position in San Antonio)
- Mental Health Policy Implementation
- Health System Integration
- Measurement-Based Care
- Veterans Mental Health
- Philanthropy and Marketing
- Mental Health Equity
- Data Analytics and Visualization
- Media and Communications in Policy
- Digital Interventions for Youth
The summer internship runs from June 1 to August 4, 2023, and will be conducted remotely, with some positions offering in-person opportunities regionally. Students who are either currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program or individuals who possess a bachelor’s degree with at least two years of professional work experience are encouraged to apply.
Application materials will be accepted until March 31, 2023. We will begin conducting phone screenings with selected applicants the week of April 10, 2023. The internship position may not be filled or performed in California, Colorado, Montana, Rhode Island, or Washington at this time. Successful candidates must show proof of eligibility to work in the United States. The internship position is not benefits eligible.
