Handle With Care Program: for Non-instructional School Staff
The Handle With Care Program employs a system of communication between law enforcement, schools, and mental health professionals to provide best-practice, trauma- and grief-informed care and mitigate negative effects of potentially traumatic events on children. This program is grounded in the fact that trauma- and grief-informed care is most successful if we can meet children where they are – in their schools and community – and provide timely and effective behavioral health interventions.
