Christopher Plietz
Christopher Plietz, CPA, holds over 16 years of experience in not-for-profit accounting and auditing, financial statement preparation, and Form 990 preparation. Prior to joining the Institute, Chris worked as the controller and senior accounting manager at the Child Mind Institute. Before that, Chris worked as an audit manager at Skody Scot & Company, CPAs, a public accounting firm specializing in the audits of not-for-profit organizations.
In his role, Chris leads the efforts of the accounting team by overseeing financial reporting and analysis and financial operations, including the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining proper accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as well as managing the annual audit and Form 990 preparation.
Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a BS in Commerce (with a concentration in Accounting) from the University of Virginia (and a degree in Music, too!). He resides in East Brunswick, New Jersey with his wife and two children.
