Clynita Grafenreed, PhD
Clynita has worked in education for the past 24 years and is a licensed psychologist and a licensed specialist in school psychology. Over the last 12 years, she worked at Region 4 Education Service Center as an Education Specialist in the Department of Special Education Solutions. Through her position at Region 4, Clynita led the Texas Behavior Support Network, a Texas Education Agency sponsored statewide network designed to build capacity in Texas schools for the provision of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) to all students for ten years. Her areas of interest and expertise include equity and school discipline, mental health, and PBIS. Clynita is passionate about developing effective school behavioral health systems that create and support equitable and safe learning environments for all students.
Clynita has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy, both from Texas A&M University. After four decades living in Houston, in 2021 Clynita moved to the North Texas area with her husband and two boys to begin their next adventure.
