Cooper Carpenter

Cooper Carpenter is a senior data scientist at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute with more than five years of experience supporting quantitative research, evaluation, and data analytics initiatives. During his time at the Institute, he has contributed to community needs assessments, program evaluations, and strategic research projects, using data to generate insights that inform policy, program design, and decision-making.

Cooper’s work includes statistical programming, data management, and the development of analytic approaches, population prevalence and service need estimates, and data workflows that support the Institute’s research efforts. He has experience working with large, complex datasets and developing analytical methods to support behavioral health research and evaluation.

Cooper also leads the management of the Institute’s secure data environment, helping ensure appropriate handling of sensitive information and compliance with applicable requirements. His technical expertise and collaborative approach contribute to the Institute’s ability to conduct rigorous, data-informed research.

Cooper earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2019. He currently lives in New York City with his wife.
