Eric Bennett

Senior Fellow and Strategic Advisor for Innovation

Eric is the Managing Partner of Brain Capital Partners, which he launched in 2025 along with the Brain Superfund to invest in brain science ventures. The fund focuses on mental health, neurodegenerative diseases, brain injuries, cognitive wellness, and longevity, aiming to accelerate breakthrough treatments and technologies. In his role at the Meadows Institute, Eric serves as a key advisor providing subject matter expertise on innovative funding models, strategic partnerships, and scaling innovative behavioral health solutions. He brings more than 30 years of experience in wealth management, investment management, and healthcare. 

Eric began working with John Tolleson’s single-family office in 1998 before co-founding Tolleson Wealth Management in 2000, where he served as CEO and Chairman of the Investment Committee, and grew the firm from three employees to 150. In 2013, he became the founding Executive Director of the Brain Performance Institute (BPI) at UT Dallas’ Center for BrainHealth, where he led efforts to scale cognitive neuroscience programs, securing over $105 million in funding and reaching 50,000+ people. After transitioning BPI’s leadership in 2017, he rejoined Tolleson as Chief Investment Officer, overseeing $10 billion in portfolios and leading $400 million in healthcare and biotech investments before launching Brain Capital Partners in 2025. 

Eric currently serves on the Center for BrainHealth Board, the Baylor Healthcare Foundation Board, and the Brain Capital Alliance, among others. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he began his career at PwC and Ernst & Young after earning a finance degree from the University of Missouri. He is also an operating partner with Satori Capital and a member of YPO, having served on its executive board.
