Gladys Sanchez, LPC-S, has 13 years of experience as a bilingual mental health executive and practitioner in the non-profit setting focusing on business expansion, project development, enhancing work practices and workflows, grant writing, and fiscal management, at both the local and national level. Gladys has a solid foundation in behavioral healthcare clinic operations and management, health and human services, quality assurance and monitoring, policy development, and compliance.

Prior to joining the Institute, Gladys was at Southwest Key Programs (SWK), a national non-profit, and served as the National Director of Clinical Services where she collaborated with both internal and external stakeholders to advance and expand innovative programming for underserved and high-risk youth, across multiple systems of care such as juvenile justice, child-welfare, and foster-care. To advance access to behavioral healthcare Gladys played a critical role in supporting SWK to become a fully operational SB58 Medicaid provider serving children and families across south Texas with Mental Health Rehabilitative Services, Targeted Case Management, and Psychotherapy services.

In her role at the Meadows Institute, Gladys supports the work of the Finance and the Policy Implementation teams by working collaboratively with project team staff, contractors, partner agencies and stakeholders with managing and participating in work to further advance the clinical design and cross system integration for mental health and substance use care with an emphasis on community mental health systems across Texas and nationally.

Gladys is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, LPC-S and certified Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner. She has dedicated her experience and voice to advocating for mental health accessibility and advancement for over a decade. Gladys resides in the Austin metroplex area and enjoys her time spent with her daughters, husband, and extended family.
