San Antonio Mobile Mental Wellness Collaborative Project Director

Janeshka joined the Meadows Institute with 18 years of experience in school-based mental health and community wellness, program development, and business development focusing on identifying mental health needs, designing practical solutions, and leading initiatives that improve student well-being and academic success.

Janeshka began her career at Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Centers, providing school-based direct services to children and family members. She later developed and led the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) to enhance mental health crisis response in Val Verde County. Additionally, Janeshka established and launched a specialized female military sexual trauma unit at San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, expanding its impact across the military community. Janeshka has served as the Program Manager for the San Antonio Mobile Mental Wellness Collaborative (SAMMWC) since 2021, overseeing daily operations and closely collaborating with clinical leads, district leadership, and care navigators to ensure seamless service delivery.

In her role, Janeshka oversees the operations of SAMMWC and applies her expertise in systems implementation to further the Institute’s education work across the state.

Janeshka has a Master of Education in Counseling from Sul Ross State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from The University of the Incarnate Word. She has been recognized by receiving the Building Dreams Award from Self Financial and the Spurs Community Leadership Institute for her contributions to youth leadership programs.
