Jenna Parro
Jenna has over seven years of experience improving health in non-profits, health care, and higher education. At the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, she drove systems change through the development of a unique pillar of academic medicine focused on improving health for people, not just patients. In this role, she led a movement to build institutional support for academic medicine’s role in addressing the social and structural drivers of health in the community. She also developed culture-defining initiatives to improve efforts around equity.
Prior to her role at Dell Med, Jenna developed and directed health programs that served diverse communities of all ages outside of traditional health care contexts. An alumnus of Leadership Austin’s Emerge program, Jenna has been recognized for her leadership and civic engagement. She holds an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin and completed a Master of Health Administration at Texas State University.
