Katy Walterscheidt
Katy supports the Child and Family Policy team by providing resource development and fundraising for the expansion of the Mobile Mental Wellness Collaborative.
Katy has over 15 years of nonprofit marketing and communications experience, mostly focusing on programming related to improving social determinants of health. Katy joined the Institute from Jewish Family Service of San Antonio, where she spearheaded marketing and fundraising efforts for their mental health and social service programs. In that role she also oversaw marketing, public relations and branding for the Mobile Mental Health Collaborative. She previously worked at Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity in Victoria, Texas, where she raised money and awareness for the organization. She also advocated for affordable housing on the local and state level, especially after Hurricane Harvey devastated the nonprofit’s service area.
Katy received her BA in Communication from Texas A&M University and has studied mass communication at Texas State University. She resides in San Antonio with her husband and two daughters.
