Leah has over eight years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Most recently, she served for over six years as the Policy and Advocacy Associate for Healthy Futures of Texas’ advocacy project, the Texas Women’s Healthcare Coalition. This role gave her the opportunity to work closely with the Texas State Legislature, Health and Human Services Commission, and other women’s health stakeholders, including healthcare providers from across the state. Leah received her Master of Science in Social Work with a concentration in community and administrative leadership from The University of Texas at Austin and graduated from Howard Payne University with her bachelor’s degree in social work.
In her role at the Meadows Institute, Leah supports the work of the Policy Implementation Team particularly in the areas of health system reform pilots and integrating behavioral health into primary healthcare settings.
