Tomi Adesogan
Olutomi (Tomi) Adesogan joined the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute with five years of experience in public health research and health education. Prior to joining the Meadows Institute, Tomi worked as a Program Manager on a community-based diabetes self-management program for Burmese refugees in Clarkston, Georgia, overseeing the translation, adaptation, implementation, and evaluation of an evidence-based Centers for Disease Control (CDC) diabetes program. She also worked as an Asthma Educator and Clinical Research Assistant in a pediatric hospital, and during her graduate studies, supported global monitoring and evaluation projects focused on a social, emotional, and ethical learning curriculum for K–12 schools and a gender-based violence prevention training program for researchers in Vietnam.
In her Meadows Institute role, Tomi collaborates with the Health System Integration team in support of The National Council Center of Excellence (CoE-IHS) project, focusing primarily on planning training and technical assistance events including the Learning Collaborative and Action Series sessions.
Tomi has a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Global Health and a certificate in Maternal and Child Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Florida. She recently relocated to Chicago and enjoys spending time at the lake and exploring the city’s diverse food scene.
