Rachael McLaughlin
Rachael McLaughlin, MA, LPA, joined the Meadows Institute in 2020 after 10 years of experience working as a mental health clinician in a variety of settings. She has a background in mental health counseling and neuropsychology where she has assessed and treated multiple populations including adults and children with chronic physical and mental health conditions. Rachael joined the Institute from Dell Children’s Medical Center where she practiced as a Licensed Psychological Associate in a pediatric neuropsychology outpatient while also spearheading program development for integrative care and clinical research of psychological factors on healthcare outcomes. Through her experiences, she has developed a passion for improving healthcare quality and access, particularly for mental health. Since joining the Institute, she has assisted with implementation of various policy projects through management and analysis of data, engagement of stakeholders, research of evidence-based practices, and development of technical assistance materials to support and improve the access of mental health care across the state of Texas.
Rachael earned her public health certificate from The University of Texas Health Science Center, her master’s degree in mental health counseling from Boston College, and her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
