Rebecca Benghiat

Rebecca has dedicated her career to advancing the mental health and well-being of women, children, and young adults. She currently serves as Chief of Staff and Head of Impact at The Inner Foundation, an impact investor, grant-maker, and ecosystem builder supporting the mental health of emerging adults worldwide.

Previously, Rebecca served as Executive Vice President of Innovation at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, where she helped lead innovative strategies and partnerships to address critical challenges in mental health care. Her work focused on fostering and scaling solutions that improve access, quality, and equity across the field.

Before joining the Meadows Institute, Rebecca was President and Chief Operating Officer of The Jed Foundation, overseeing a period of significant growth and organizational expansion. During her tenure, she led the development of programs, infrastructure, and national campaigns focused on suicide prevention and youth mental health. She has also served as a Senior Advisor to RockHealth.org, supporting digital youth mental health initiatives through analysis of the funding landscape and identification of emerging investment opportunities. Earlier in her career, Rebecca played a founding and scaling role in several national organizations, including the Child Mind Institute, the Seleni Institute, and the New Space for Women’s Health.

Rebecca is a licensed attorney and certified mediator, holding a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in public policy from The University of Chicago. A committed advocate for community engagement, she serves on several nonprofit boards focused on the arts and mental health.
