Rebecca Marcolina

Director of Population Health Analytics

Rebecca Marcolina translates research into action as the Director of Population Health Analytics. Rebecca uses her broad data visualization skills to turn complex data and research into meaningful stories to inform policy and practice. She also maintains the Institute’s portfolio of first-class prevalence and mortality data.

Rebecca has six years of applied and policy-relevant research experience at Northwestern University, the Edward Hines VA Hospital, and the University of Texas Health Science Center. In these roles, she analyzed data on the health and mental health of law enforcement officers, veterans, and people experiencing homelessness. Her research on law enforcement officer health has been funded by CDC’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Rebecca earned a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of South Dakota. She is currently a doctoral candidate in epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and lives in Michigan with her husband and two cats.
