Rebecca Tharp
Rebecca has over seven years of experience in digital media and public relations strategy and has worked in various industries including entertainment, healthcare, and politics. Rebecca previously worked as a Legislative Intern at the Texas State Capitol where she developed policy research for statewide legislation regarding healthcare, education, and criminal justice reform. She also served as a member of the Communications and Community Engagement Team at Central Health, an Austin-based healthcare non-profit, where she oversaw the company’s social media strategy, created monthly e-newsletters, produced video content, and planned community outreach events.
In her role at the Meadows Institute, Rebecca has worked on several successful communications initiatives including the K-12 Mental Health Tech Navigator, the Minding College Minds Learning Community, and the Okay to Say public awareness campaign.
She has degrees in Public Relations and Radio-Television-Film from The University of Texas at Austin.
