Regen Horchow
Regen Horchow is the President of The Hersh Foundation, manages the Horchow Family Office and is a respected leader known for her expertise around issues impacting young children. She helped start and currently leads Early Matters in Dallas, a local coalition and leader of a statewide network of advocates for policy change, increased funding, better coordination and measurement of quality early learning experiences for all children. She co-chairs the Advisory Council and helped with the formation of the School of Education at Dallas College.
In addition, she currently serves on the boards of Executive Committee of the Dallas County College District Foundation, SMU Simmons School, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, UTSW President’s Advisory Board, Advisory Board to United to Learn, and the Executive Council of the Yale Child Study Center.
For 12 years, Regen led the Zero to Five Funders Collaborative which, under her leadership, created one of the first collaborative funding initiatives in Texas . Established by the Collaborative, the Bachman Lake Together Family Center, is one of the go-to organizations for local, state and national organizations seeking to engage parents in their children’s healthy development and learning.
In the Dallas community, Regen’s previous service includes leadership positions in Charter 100, Child Care Group, Commit Partnership, Dallas Assembly, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Dallas Foundation, Educational First Steps, Girls’ Adventure Trails, The Hockaday School, Junior League of Dallas and Planned Parenthood.
A Dallas native, Regen is a graduate of The Hockaday School, Yale University and holds a M.Ed from the University of North Texas. Regen has 3 adult daughters.
