Solome Tibebu
Solome Tibebu is a behavioral health technology strategist passionate about health equity and access. Solome is the founder of Going Digital: Behavioral Health Tech, the largest community dedicated to advancing access to mental health and substance use services through technology and innovation. In this role, Solome will help explore and expand digital health solutions throughout the work of the Institute through strategic input, direction, and execution.
Solome was the Founding Director of The Upswing Fund for Adolescent Mental Health, a philanthropic fund seeded by Pivotal Ventures, Melinda French Gates’ personal investment company. Through the Upswing Fund, Solome and her team funded 100+ community-based organizations and nonprofits nationwide focused on supporting the mental health of LGBTQ+ teens and adolescents of color. As a consumer of mental health services, Solome has been a mental health advocate since she started the Anxiety In Teens blog when she was 16-years-old in 2006. Solome is an advisor or board director to several behavioral health companies and national nonprofits, an Aspen Health Fellow, and she is a venture capital scout for Andreessen Horowitz.
