Sonya Escobedo

Accountant

Sonya has over 15 years of experience in accounting. Prior to joining the Meadows Institute, Sonya was an Executive Assistant for the Vice President of Manufacturing at a manufacturing company. Her duties included payroll, onboarding new hires, accounts receivable, and purchasing. She also has previous experience in a non-profit organization as an office manager.

In her role at the Institute, Sonya supports the work of the Vice President of Account and Controller. She is also responsible for completing the end-to-end accounts receivable process and other accounting department needs, including state registration and filings. She also works closely with the Senior Director of Human Resources to address employee onboarding needs.

Recently, Sonya received her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Business Management from Western Governors University. She has lived in Texas her whole life and currently resides in Weatherford, Texas.
