Yesenia Martinez

Grants and Contracts Manager

Yesenia comes to the Meadows Institute with over 16 years of local government experience. Prior to joining the Institute, she served as the Commissioners Court Coordinator for Harris County where she prepared numerous vendor contracts and grant agreements on a biweekly basis. She also served as the Special Assistant to Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and Program Manager for the Mental Health Jail Diversion Program. She was also the Assistant to County Judge Lina Hidalgo.

In her role at the Institute, Yesenia assists in the oversight and monitoring of Institute grants and contracts and supports the Institute’s leadership and project staff in the preparation and submission of grants and contracts.

Yesenia has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology and is a certified Notary Public for the state of Texas. She resides in Houston with her husband and twin boys.
