Texas is doing more than any other state.
As a non-partisan, data-driven organization that has been working with the Texas Legislature specifically on improvements in mental health since 2014, we know exactly how seriously state leaders and the Legislature have taken mental health, working in a bipartisan fashion to develop and fund first-in-the nation programs that are helping improve access to care for every Texan.
Politically-charged press coverage that tells only half-truths about the story of what has been happening on the ground in our state ultimately damages the ongoing efforts to help the children and families who are still in distress.
