June 30, 2026 – As the one-year mark of the tragic floods in the Hill Country approaches, it is essential to provide support for both the current and future mental health needs of the residents of Kerr County and the surrounding communities.

The Meadows Institute is proud to help support the efforts of the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, and Dr. Julie Kaplow, the executive director of the Trauma and Grief Center, spoke to KXAN about the importance of identifying the full impact the disaster will have on the mental health of those affected so that they can receive the best resources and care possible.
