July 2, 2026 – Jennifer Erasime, the senior vice president of regional initiatives at the Meadows Institute, spoke to WFAA’s Teresa Woodard about the ongoing mental health needs of children and families who were affected by the devastating Hill Country floods one year ago.
Erasime discussed the projected increase in cases of PTSD in Kerr County and the support that is available to help people now and in the future. “I worry about them for this weekend,” she said. “But I think nobody is more resilient and better at taking care of their neighbors than Kerr County.”
