After the Floods: Supporting the Mental Health of Families and First Responders

The devastating floods over the Fourth of July holiday in Central Texas will have a lasting impact on families, communities, and first responders. As recovery begins, the mental health needs of those affected are coming into sharper focus – from children coping with trauma and grief to first responders facing acute stress.

The Meadows Institute and The Hackett Center for Mental Health, in partnership with the New York Life Foundation, present this special conversation designed for the Texas Legislature that offers timely insights into current efforts to respond to people in need, the challenges ahead, and proven strategies to promote healing and resilience.
