Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute and our CEO Andy Keller, PhD, are proud to join a historic coalition of 14 of the nation’s top mental health organizations that are working together to re-envision our country’s mental health care system, at a time when mental health care needs are increasing across Texas and the country.
“The unprecedented surge of mental health needs, driven by the COVID-19 pandemic, is exacerbating an epidemic of suicide and overdose that was already a decade old and laying bare even longer standing inequities related to racism and equity,” said Andy Keller, PhD, President and CEO of The Meadows Institute. “Fortunately, effective, proven policy solutions are ready to be implemented nationwide, and the Unified Vision provides clear direction on how to do just that. America needs to respond on all levels by committing to scale population-wide, equitable responses now.”
