Project Details

The Northeast Texas Executive Learning Community (ELC) convenes 23 school districts and three community colleges, representing 28,257 students, through monthly sessions to address the current challenges in supporting student and teacher mental health.

This ELC is part of a broader effort launched by the Meadows Institute to equip school districts across Texas with evidence-based tools to build effective, comprehensive school mental health systems. Participating regions include Northeast Texas, San Antonio, Tarrant County, and North Texas, encompassing 52 districts and serving nearly half a million students. These learning communities will set the tone and lead the way for Texas school districts interested in implementing best practices in school mental health.

The Northeast Texas Executive Learning Community is made possible through a partnership with the Region 8 Education Service Center and the generous support of the Texas Pioneer Foundation.
