San Antonio School Mental Health Executive Learning Community

SUMMARY – A year-long learning community for leaders in seven San Antonio school districts. Members have access to expert-facilitated group learning experiences and cultivated workshops anchored in evidence-based practices to accelerate their ability to develop, implement, and sustain their comprehensive school mental health systems.

Project Details

The San Antonio Executive Learning Community (ELC) convenes seven school districts representing 173,175 students through monthly sessions to address the current challenges in supporting student and teacher mental health.

This ELC is part of a broader effort launched by the Meadows Institute to equip districts across Texas with evidence-based tools to build effective, comprehensive school mental health systems. Participating regions include Tarrant County, Northeast Texas, San Antonio, and North Texas, encompassing 52 districts and representing nearly half a million students. These learning communities will set the tone and lead the way for Texas school districts interested in implementing best practices in school mental health.

The San Antonio Executive Learning Community is made possible through a partnership with Region 20 Education Service Center.
